About KSA's approach to Interior Design

The firm's principal has worked for firms and collaborated with designers who's commercial, institutional, residential and hospitality projects have won international acclaim. Shaffer's Bachelor of Interior Architecture emphasized the theory of designing from "the inside out" and that each element in the space creates the experience including furniture, art, and decorative objects. Incorporating technology and equipment into the space is also a key factor in planning the design and how it is constructed.

Color, chosing rich materials and exacting detail is all part of the formula used to give the space the character and feel that the client is seeking focusing all of the senses to create a memorable environment and a unique sense of space within the architecture that is planned.

Shown here, a corporate interiors project completed when Shaffer was doing Tenant Improvement work working for Shorenstein Properties with one of the founders of Paul Kamada Associates known for their work in clubs, restaurants, and corporate interiors in Hawaii in the 80's. This project located in the Bank of America building, San Francisco.
